Role Overview
Join Bitlogix in developing advanced analytics software for forecasting, optimization, simulation, scenario analysis, and operational planning. You will build analytical engines that combine mathematical models, operational data, and software platforms to support better decisions in industrial, infrastructure, government, and other demanding environments.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the development process, from problem formulation and model design through implementation, validation, integration, deployment, and continued improvement.
What You Will Do
Design and develop software components for optimization, simulation, forecasting, and operational planning.
Translate operational objectives, business rules, system constraints, and performance requirements into mathematical models and dependable software.
Develop, test, and validate models using real world data and operating conditions.
Integrate analytics engines into artificial intelligence, intelligent digital twin, enterprise, and control system platforms.
Work with structured, time series, sensor, and enterprise data from operational environments.
Evaluate modeling approaches and balance accuracy, computational performance, scalability, and practical usability.
Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, analytics specialists, and domain experts to develop complete decision support systems.
Improve software performance, testability, reliability, and maintainability.
Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and product improvement.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong software development experience with Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
A solid mathematical foundation in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Experience developing optimization, simulation, forecasting, or planning models.
Experience with optimization frameworks or solvers such as Gurobi, Pyomo, or OR Tools, or with simulation frameworks such as SimPy or comparable technologies.
The ability to formulate objectives, constraints, assumptions, and operating rules clearly and translate them into working models.
A solid understanding of data structures, software architecture, model validation, and performance considerations.
Experience using Git and established software development practices.
The ability to analyze complex requirements, communicate technical decisions clearly, and work effectively with engineering and domain experts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mixed integer linear programming, constraint programming, stochastic modeling, or other mathematical optimization methods.
Experience developing simulation models for complex operational or physical systems.
Experience with forecasting models, time series analysis, or predictive analytics.
Experience integrating analytics components into intelligent digital twins, enterprise platforms, or control systems.
Experience deploying analytical models in real time or near real time environments.
Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, supply chain, infrastructure, energy, government, or related operational domains.
Experience evaluating model performance, sensitivity, uncertainty, and tradeoffs.
Location and Eligibility
This position may be based in Frisco, Texas, or performed remotely by qualified candidates worldwide. Employment arrangements depend on the candidate’s location and the requirements of the role and project.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter describing your relevant experience, current location, and interest in the position. Links to technical work, publications, or public software repositories are welcome but not required.
