The Bitlogix NPC-1 device server can normally be configured over the network using NetControl®. In some situations, initial setup or troubleshooting may require a direct serial connection.

For serial configuration, use a null modem cable with two DB-9 female connectors. Verify that the cable follows the pin assignments shown below.
